Shooter Prototype was an ambitious first-person shooter (FPS) project that aimed to deliver an engaging combat experience featuring a versatile weapon system and challenging enemy AI. The prototype included a primary pistol and a secondary AK-47, showcasing smooth weapon handling and dynamic interactions. While significant progress was made in completing the weapon system and enemy AI, the project faced setbacks during a version upgrade, which caused critical components, including the enemy system and map, to break. This unforeseen challenge prompted a pivotal shift in direction. Rather than rebuilding the project, the decision was made to explore a new platform and vision, leading to the creation of Exile Protocol in Unreal Engine. The lessons learned during the development of this prototype laid the groundwork for the mechanics and design principles incorporated into the more advanced and ambitious Exile Protocol.
